Wednesday, June 7
. Leave for the coal camp towns of Benham and Lynch, where we will stay at the Schoolhouse Inn and visit the coal museum.


Thursday, June 8. Visit the Portal 31 deep mine museum and travel to Pine Mountain Settlement
School where we will spend the night.

Friday, June 9. We climb the summit of Black Mountain, the highest elevation in Kentucky and then travel to Whitesburg, KY for Seedtime on the Cumberland Festival. Dinner at the Courthouse Inn in Whitesburg.

Saturday, June 10
.  We are at Whitesburg for the Seedtime Festival and dinner at the Pine Mountain Grill on the road over Pine Mountain.

Sunday, June 11. We travel to Hindman Settlement School for Family Folk Week where we will experience six days of dance, song, crafts, in the embrace of this remarkable Settlement School.

Saturday, June 17.  We leave Hindman and return to Lexington

Monday, June 18. We meet at the Gaines Center to discuss the experiences of the past ten days.
